Vengeance is the nineteenth episode of Season 6 of Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman, and the one hundred thirty-seventh episode of the series.
U.S. Marshal Elias Burch is accused of murder and asks Matthew, who is still studying the law, to be his lawyer. Ned Springer, a fiction writer, claims Marshal Burch shot the recently released convict, Rudy Exner, when Exner was unarmed. Matthew works to discover what really happened with the help of Dr. Mike.
