Anemia is a shortage of hemoglobin (iron containing oxygen carring) in the blood. It leads to a lack of oxygen in the organs. Causes could be the body not making enough red-blood cells, bleeding, the body destroying red-blood cells There are several types of anemia including Sickle Cell Anemia.

At first, anemia can go unnoticed. The symptoms however increase as the condition gets worse.
